1. Platform Nature & Matchmaking Model
DBOOK provides a digital communication and matchmaking platform that enables registered users ("Customers") to find and engage independent professional acting drivers ("Pilots").
0% Commission Disclaimer: DBOOK is not a transportation provider or taxi fleet operator. We operate solely as a technology facilitator with 0% platform commission on trip fares. All transportation services are contracted directly between Customer and Pilot on a peer-to-peer basis.
2. User Accounts & Identity Verification
- Registration: Users must register using a verified mobile phone number with SMS OTP.
- Accuracy: Users agree to provide true, accurate, and current profile details. Providing false information or misrepresenting identity may result in immediate suspension.
- Account Security: You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and all activities occurring under your account.
3. Driver (Pilot) Standards & Requirements
Individuals registering as Pilots agree to the following obligations:
- Valid Driving License: Must hold a valid, non-expired driving license and necessary regional permits for vehicle operation.
- Safe & Lawful Operation: Must follow all applicable motor vehicle traffic regulations, drive responsibly, and never operate vehicles under the influence of alcohol or prohibited substances.
- Direct Payments: Must provide a valid UPI ID / QR code for direct customer payments without demanding unauthorized surcharges beyond the agreed rate card.
- Customer Dignity: Must treat customers with respect, refrain from using unsolicited contact after trip completion, and maintain professional behavior at all times.
4. Pricing, Fare Settlement & Transparent Rate Cards
All fare estimates calculated in the DBOOK application are based on standardized rate cards:
-
Direct Settlement: 100% of the trip fare is paid directly by the customer to the driver upon trip completion using UPI or Cash. DBOOK does not deduct commission fees.
-
Night Duty Surcharge: A predefined night allowance applies automatically to trips operating between 10:00 PM and 6:00 AM.
-
Outstation & Extra Charges: For outstation bookings, food/stay allowances and return journey fares are calculated transparently upfront according to selected booking parameters.
-
Tolls & Parking: All toll fees, parking charges, and entry permits incurred during a ride are paid directly by the customer as actuals.
5. Pre-Booked (Scheduled) Rides
- Customers can schedule advance trips up to 30 days ahead.
- Pilots who accept scheduled bookings are expected to arrive at the designated pickup location at the scheduled time. Automated reminder notifications are sent before the dispatch window.
- Customers may modify or cancel upcoming scheduled rides directly in their Booking History before driver dispatch.
6. Cancellation Rules & Automated 24-Hour Suspension Guard
Reliability is vital to the DBOOK community. While occasional unforeseen circumstances happen, systematic trip abandonment harms platform integrity:
Excessive Cancellation Trigger:
Pilots who accept ride requests and subsequently cancel more than 3 bookings within a 2-hour window or more than 5 bookings in a 24-hour cycle trigger an automated 24-hour suspension from receiving new trip dispatches.
Repeated suspension cycles may lead to manual admin review and permanent platform disqualification.
7. Pilot Quotas & Premium Subscriptions
- Daily Free Trip Allocations: Drivers receive a daily quota of free bookings to support flexible part-time work.
- Premium Subscriptions: Drivers seeking unlimited bookings can activate Premium Plans through verified direct UPI transactions to platform administrators.
8. Help Desk & Dispute Resolution
DBOOK provides an integrated Help Desk ticketing center. In the event of a fare calculation dispute, route discrepancy, or lost property:
- Submit a ticket in the app within 48 hours of trip completion.
- Support administrators review trip logs, GPS records, and statements to provide fair resolution recommendations.
9. Account Deletion & Termination
You may terminate your account at any time via Profile > Settings > Delete Account in the mobile applications or by emailing dbook2667@gmail.com. DBOOK reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, breach road safety rules, or engage in abusive conduct.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, DBOOK operates as a technology platform and shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, punitive, or consequential damages arising from driver actions, traffic delays, vehicle breakdowns, or property damage. Users are advised to verify vehicle condition and insurance before commencing rides.
11. Governing Law & Jurisdiction
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes arising out of or related to these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in India.
