Your safety, transparency, and data privacy are our core commitments. This policy applies to the DBOOK Consumer App, the DBOOK Pilot (Driver) App, and all associated mobility technology services.
DBOOK is built as a transparent, peer-to-peer technology matchmaking platform connecting customers with professional acting drivers and ride services. We operate on principles of fairness, direct payments, and robust data protection.
We never sell, rent, monetize, or disclose your personal data to commercial advertisers or unauthorized third parties.
Drivers keep 100% of their earnings. Customers settle fares directly via UPI QR codes or cash.
Location tracking is the core of reliable ride coordination. We adhere to the principle of minimal necessary data collection:
| User Type | Tracking Mode | Purpose | When Tracking Stops |
|---|---|---|---|
| Customer | Foreground during App Usage & Active Ride | Matching nearby drivers, pickup routing, live navigation | Immediately upon trip arrival, trip completion, or cancellation |
| Pilot (Driver) | Foreground & Background while Online | Dispatching nearby booking alerts, precise customer ETA calculation | Immediately when toggling status to Offline or logging out |
Smooth communication during pickup is critical for reliable service:
DBOOK acts strictly as a technology platform connecting riders with drivers. We do not hold ride funds or deduct middleman percentages.
All fare factors are presented upfront before booking confirmation, including:
To protect platform reliability and prevent ride abandonment, automated quality controls are enforced:
Drivers who accept bookings and subsequently cancel excessively (more than 3 cancellations within 2 hours or more than 5 cancellations in a single calendar day) are automatically locked out from new booking dispatches for 24 hours.
A suspension banner will appear on the driver's home screen displaying the exact countdown timer until platform privileges are automatically restored.
Both customers and pilots have access to an integrated real-time Help Desk ticket system:
We believe in complete user autonomy over personal data. In full compliance with Apple App Store Guideline 5.1.1(v) and Google Play Store User Data Policies, we provide both instant in-app self-service deletion and manual email workflows.
Effect: Immediately wipes authentication tokens, anonymizes user profile fields, removes active payment identifiers, and cleans device sessions instantly.
Send an email to dbook2667@gmail.com with the subject "Data Deletion Request" from your registered email address or provide your registered mobile number.
Processing Timeline: Verified identity requests are processed and confirmed within 30 days.
We apply stringent defense-in-depth technical safeguards to protect all user data:
All data exchanged between client applications, websites, and cloud servers is encrypted in transit using TLS 1.3 encryption.
Database records are partitioned using strict PostgreSQL Row-Level Security policies, ensuring only authorized participants can access specific ride coordinates.
Authentication is secured via verified SMS one-time passcodes, eliminating the risk of stored password leaks.
